Faery artist Jessica Galbreth put a link to this pumpkin in her newsletter. It's based on her painting called Dark Queen. Can you believe it is carved?

I'm a bit sad that I missed Artdymama's autumn gathering on the day but migraine intervened. I'll play catch up over the weekend instead.

She's on her way, winging it across the ~Atlantic....

It's dark now so it's time to go to the party.


Here's my fluffy witch hat and my mask. I thought I'd go incognito.

My little witchy friend will accompany me on my travels this evening. My broomstick lost too many twigs and we're broom-pooling. She likes the White Witch Ale from Witchwood Brewery a little too much if you know what I mean........



Look what I found under the japanese Maple Pumpkin people! They have volunteered to arrange the catering - pumpkin pie, pumkin soup, candy corn and the like.


Then they wanted to pose for a formal portait for their scrapbook. Cool eh?

Getting ready for the Halloween party

Then later in the week the wonderful Kari at Artsymama is hosting her Fall Gathering. She is a lady who LOVES this time of year. I'm with her on that one. She too has loads of wonderful autmn and Halloween themed inspiration.

Don't you just love blog parties? Oddly enough, in real life I am not a party person at all. Nor have I the shape for the kind of dresses I love to design. But in cyberspace anything is possible. And let's face it, with the news being all doom and gloom, we need some cyber glam to cheer us up. So now I have the frocks sorted - witchy dress for Saturday, etheral faery dress for the Fall Gathering I think, I'd better go and tidy and find the Halloween decorations.
