Melting in Minnesota or I've away for a while but sometimes I wondered which country I was visiting?

Ah, it is nice to be back in a country where it isn't 96 plus degrees and too humid, where food is simple, and they drive on the correct side of the road. In the past few weeks we have sat in airplanes for excessive numbers of hours, bought too much Lego in a Mall that was too big, both too few art supplies, and caught up with "old "relatives and met new friends. We spent an afternoon watching 2 Russian bears have a water fight. We also discovered that Wisconsin is a long way from the suburbs of Minneapolis and that I still prefer St Paul. My sister -in-law tried to cut off her brother's head but all in the name of good clean magical fun. (Don't copy her at home - she is a professional magician). And I played with paper and paint along with a group of like minded ladies in rural Wisconsin while staying in a great converted schoolhouse -without the children in tow - yippee! Peace! Most importantly, my children got to meet their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandfather properly.

Now it is time to let it all settle a little, post some photos and longer posts and look ahead. I'm looking forward to doing a guest spot for Kari's Sweet and Sinister Halloween extravaganza. Suzi Blu is doing a painting course. And best of all, the kids go back to school in 3 weeks time and with that a welcome return to normality!

Need to cook dinner for little boys who are currently out dragon hunting............back later.

It was really 96 degrees in Minnesota!? Wow, things have sure changed since I was a kid - global climate change y'know. I grew up in Minnesota (near the Twin Cities) and Wisconsin. Been out here in California for decades though.

I look forward to your S&S project, I'm playing again this year too.
